• To start read the instructions first then use the self-assessment tool to see where you can improve on supporting your breastfeeding families
• Once you have completed your Self-Assessment, create an action plan. There is a sample available to help.
• Be sure to follow our State Wellness Guidelines and 10 steps to Breastfeeding-Friendly Child Care
• Once you’ve created your breastfeeding-friendly plan, create policies for your childcare.
• We’ve also included training for staff that can be done on your own time. Each individual will need to create a free profile and will receive a Certificate upon completion.
• A pre and post test is available to see improvement after the online training.
• These milk storage guidelines are specific to child care facilities.
